Ryan Gosling up for Blade Runner sequel

Hey girl, Ryan Gosling might star in the Blade Runner sequel.

Gosling is in negotiations to appear in the second instalment of the sci-fi cult classic alongside Harrison Ford, reports Variety.

Ford will reprise his role as protagonist Rick Deckard in the film but it's unknown whom Gosling will play.

Denis Villeneuve is directing the thriller, which is set to take place many decades in the future from the original film's 2019 dystopian Los Angeles.

Gosling recently made his directorial debut on Lost River, and will next be seen in The Nice Guys with Russell Crowe.

The Place Beyond the Pines actor is also currently in production starring alongside Christian Bale, Brad Pitt and Steve Carrell in The Big Short.
