But there's no news that the Grammy-winning pair will be returning to New Zealand at all to perform.

Pitchfork revealed that the musical act will be using the American tour to "road-test" new material.

The act made it big with hilarious hits like Business Time and Most Beautiful Girl, which earned them a TV show on HBO.

The Conchords haven't played together since the Funny or Die Oddball Festival in 2013 and haven't performed in New Zealand since 2012.

Kiwi fans are no-doubt eager to experience the band's new material, but at this stage, fans may have to book a flight to the USA to catch the Conchords live in concert.
