Dizzee Rascal has reportedly cancelled his upcoming New Zealand show.
Rascal, a regular New Zealand visitor who was last here as part of the Back to the Future festival last March, will no longer be performing his solo Vector Arena show on April 30.
Tickets were no longer for sale on Ticketmaster's website, and the event listing came with the note: "Frontier Touring regret to advise that the upcoming Dizzee Rascal sideshow Dates have been cancelled."
Promoters told nzherald.co.nz they would release a media statement explaining the cancellation shortly.
There was no word on whether the cancellation affected his six headlining slots at Australia's upcoming festival Groovin the Moo.
Recently, Rascal - real name Dylan Mills - told nzherald.co.nz he "always" enjoyed his New Zealand performances.
"If it wasn't so far I'd probably be there a lot more," he said. "I've been coming here since 2004, since the beginning of my career."
He promised his show - his first here since the release of last year's festival-friendly album The Fifth - would inlude "more hits, more tracks ... it's just bangers after bangers".
"The good thing about Australia and New Zealand is a lot of my music has debuted there. Because of the time when I record, it means a lot of my new stuff I try out there first because I always end up coming over there at the top of the year."
Refunds for Rascal's show are available at point of purchase.
