Ahem...I was the first one

I would like to correct a small article you wrote in your June 4 newspaper about the current Miss Hawaiian Tropic Pageant winner.
You said that she was the very first NZ contestant ever to be placed in the top 12 internationally.
This is incorrect. I was the very first person to win Miss Hawaiian Tropic Beauty Pageant in NZ in 1988 and then when I went to the international pageant in Daytona, Florida I was placed in the top 12 finals as well as winning the title of Miss Photogenic.
I am married now and my maiden name was Kirstin Roberts.
