A car ploughed into the garage of a $2.3 million home in the leafy Auckland suburb of Remuera this morning.
The incident happened in almost the exact same spot on Remuera Rd as a serious crash just over a year ago.
A Fire Service spokesman said firefighters were called to the crash shortly before 6am.
Nobody was injured or trapped, but the garage of the upmarket property was badly damaged.
A tow truck was called to remove the car from the garage.
The property has a CV of $2.3 million and features a swimming pool and expansive harbour views.
In October 2014, a car crashed and rolled at speed on the same stretch of Remuera Rd. A neighbour's garage was damaged in that incident.
Remuera Rd bends slightly where the crash happened.
