A former nurse's aide accused of hitting a homeless man with her car in Texas and leaving him to die on her windscreen was yesterday charged with murder.
Chante J. Mallard, 25, was also indicted on a charge of tampering with evidence in the death of Gregory Biggs, 37, a formerbricklayer who had been living in a shelter.
Mallard told investigators she was returning home from a nightclub on October 26 when she hit the man. He remained lodged in her windscreen but she drove home and parked in her garage.
Mallard told police she apologised to the man but never sought help for him.
