WASHINGTON - The US Department of Justice has released the names of 19 people suspected of commandeering four planes involved in the attacks that destroyed the World Trade Center and severely damaged the Pentagon this week.
On Thursday the Department of Justice had said there were 18 hijackers. The additional hijacker in its latest statement was on the plane that crashed into the Pentagon.
* Marwan Al Shehhi, Fayez Ahmed, Mohald Alshehri, Hamza Alghamdi and Ahmed Alghamdi were flying on United Airlines Flight 175, which hit the World Trade Center.
* Waleed M. Alshehri, Wail Alshehri, Mohamed Atta, Abdulaziz Alomari and Satam Al Suqami were aboard American Airlines Flight 11, which also hit the World Trade Center.
* Khalid Al-Midhar, Majed Moqed, Nawaq Alhamzi, Salem Alhamzi and Hani Hanjour were on American Airlines Flight 77, which hit the Pentagon in Washington DC.
* Ahmed Alhaznawi, Ahmed Alnami, Ziad Jarrahi and Saeed Alghamdi were on United Airlines Flight 93, which crashed in the Pennsylvania countryside.
