Tony Blair gets surprise kiss

A female admirer threw herself at British Prime Minister Tony Blair yesterday and planted a kiss on his "baby lips".

Jean Peterson emerged from a crowd as Blair met community workers in Wythenshawe, Greater Manchester.

The 42-year-old mother of three draped her arms around Blair and kissed him on the lips, to the delight of other onlookers. As an embarrassed Blair left, Peterson swooned: "He's got lips like a baby; they're very soft.

"I don't know why I did it. It was just a friendly gesture, I suppose. But he puckered his lips and I got to kiss him and everyone started cheering. I think he was a bit surprised but I'm sure he understands."
