United States Army engineers have sealed the underground bunker where former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein was captured to prevent it from becoming a tourist attraction, a military spokesman said yesterday.
Soldiers lowered a 136kg slab of concrete over the hole.
Meanwhile, the international Red Cross said that US authorities had given the organisation permission to see Saddam, but no date had been set.
