A mother and three family members have been arrested in Virginia, US after a baby was born prematurely and addicted to drugs.
23-year-old Georgia McClung was taken into custody after giving birth to an infant in her family home earlier this week.
The Department of Social Services received a tip that the infant was born over a month prematurely.
Police say investigators found that Georgia McClung, who was already wanted on a probation violation, was eluding police with the help of her mother, Brenda McClung.
The infant is being treated for Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome due to symptoms it was displaying and the history of drug use the mother had during her pregnancy, according to authorities.
Georgia McClung, was charged for a probation violation, child neglect and reckless disregard for life. The baby's grandmother, Brenda McClung, was charged also with child neglect and reckless disregard for life.
Family members Brendt and Michael McClung were charged for possession of Schedule I narcotic.
Additional charges are pending.
