Man jailed for shooting broken-down car

A man who shot his car because it wouldn't start has been jailed for three months by a court in Arizona.

Lauriano Lawrence Lovato fired two rounds through the windshield and into the dashboard of his Camaro when it wouldn't start.

Neighbours called the police and Lovato was arrested after a lengthy stand-off.

He pleaded guilty to one count of discharging a gun unlawfully within the Kingman city limits and was sentenced to three years probation and 90 days jail time.
