Surveillance camera footage shows a heavy-set Texas man beating Anjelica Lozano in a row over a parking space
A surveillance camera captured the moment a heavy-set Texas man beat a woman and hurled her across concrete as they appeared to argue over a parking space.
The footage shows the man confront a grey-haired lady as she got out of her car at the Golden Wok Chinese restaurant parkinglot near Loop 410 and Marbach in San Antonio in September.
After a brief chat with the older woman, Norma Lozano, during which he points at his van and she gestures in the direction she's heading, Norma leaves the frame.
The heavyset man allegedly hit both Anjelica Lozano and her mother Norma during the encounter.
It's not clear what's being said at that point but Norma confirmed they were talking about a space he had his eyes on in the video obtained by Liveleak.com.
She added that he was cursing and yelling as he accused them of taking the spot he had been waiting for.
"I just blew him off, I'm parked I'm going in," she told Fox San Antonio. "I'm parked, go find another parking. There's other parking slots in the parking lot."
Then the video shows Norma's daughter Anjelica step out the back of the parked vehicle.
After seeing the man kick the car on the opposite side, Anjelica, wearing a yellow top, walks over and punches him in the side of the face.
Anjelica Lozano was left badly bruised following the encounter over a car parking space.
At that point he turns around and slams her head against a vehicle then pounds her several times in the head and body before she falls to the floor.
"I just remember my hair being pulled, getting hit to my face. He threw me down to the ground, he was punching me," Anjelica said.
Norma Lozano then returns and seemingly tries to reason with the man but he pushes her out of the way causing her to take a tumble.
Although the footage does not show what happened behind her car, Norma shared he also punched her.
"He came at me, and he pushed me and he uppercut me I flew through the air and I landed and I hit my head," she explained.
"I didn't know what was happening, I was on the ground, my head was pounding, my back is hurting. I didn't know what was happening."
Norma Lozano nipped into the car park, enraging the man in the camo trousers.
The clips shows onlookers rush over to the side of the women but do not approach the man as he heads off in another direction.
But the shocking retaliation doesn't put off Anjelica and she follows the man – whose van is stopped in the middle of the parking lot road – toward his blue vehicle.
Another car obstructs the view of the further violence but she ends up on the ground with her feet in the air once more.
The persistent woman gets back up almost immediately and seems to have words with him at the door of the driver's side.
He doesn't use any more violence and drives away as she kicks the van.
"I want this guy off the street he's a monster," Norma said. "He's a monster with a short fuse. I want this guy off the street, I want him behind bars."
Police said they had identified a suspect and were moving forward with the investigation.
