A British man has pleaded guilty to dangerous driving charges after being caught towing a man on a wheelchair along a road.
Michael Ward, of Harrogate, UK, has been disqualified from driving for 20 months and ordered to complete 200 hours of unpaid work, and pay court costs.
It was
shortly after midnight on January 28 when CCTV cameras captured Ward talking to 28-year-old William MacPherson outside a bar in Harrogate.
Ward then took off in his car, driving along Kings Rd as MacPherson, sitting in a wheelchair, held on to the back of the car, before eventually having to let go.
Noticing the man was no longer holding on to the car, Ward can be seen stopping and reversing so MacPherson can grab hold of the vehicle again.
