Some of the punch has gone from tropical cyclone Lua, which smashed into West Australia's Pilbara region late yesterday.
It arrived as a category 4 system, with winds of 250 kilometres an hour and heavy rain.
There's damage to properties in some isolated communities, but nobody has been reported hurt.
