Croc attacks pair in tent

A crocodile attacked a man and a woman yesterday as they slept in a tent in northern Australia.

The 4.2m crocodile first attacked the man near a beach in north Queensland.

The woman went to his aid but the saltwater crocodile turned on her and was dragging her towards the sea when a fellow camper shot and killed the reptile.

The man, 34, and woman, 60, were flown to hospital where their conditions were listed as serious but stable.
