NSW Health has also reinforced that the daily case numbers may not be an accurate depiction of the true number of cases because "there may be some cases included in these numbers where people have reported positive RATs on multiple days, and/or where people have also had a positive PCR test during the same reporting period".

In the 24-hour reporting period to 8pm last night:

Premier Dominic Perrottet on Saturday praised NSW residents and frontline workers for their efforts in dealing with the pandemic, insisting the state was "on the way out of this".
Perrottet and chief health officer Dr Kerry Chant are expected to provide a more detailed update later today.
Meanwhile, Victoria recorded 28,128 cases on Sunday.
