Coffee drinkers in brush with tooth decay

Australian dentists have warned too much coffee could ruin your teeth. The latte set are the latest to be warned about the effects their vice has on their pearly whites - as coffee joins smoking, drinking and chocolate in the bad books.

The Australian Dental Association warned that caffeine interfered with natural saliva production, causing a dry mouth, which can lead to tooth decay. The association said drinking water at the same time as coffee would reduce the risk.
