Apartment collapses in London

Several people were injured and others feared trapped when an apartment building collapsed in north London last night.

Police rescued a man, a woman and a baby girl and firefighters used thermal imaging equipment to search for survivors in the rubble of the three-story building in the working-class district of Tottenham.

Construction workers were working on the building when it collapsed just after 7 pm (NZT).
