What was your greatest holiday?

My whole family travelled to Samoa a few years ago ... my husband's family came too and it was so memorable.

And the worst?
I went to Hong Kong on a sports trip and the manager lost some of the passports. Those players had to travel home after the team.

If we bump into you on holiday, what are you most likely to be doing?
Drinking cocktails on a beach ... or trying to find hidden treasures.

If we could teleport you to one place in New Zealand for a week-long holiday, where would it be?
Rotorua! I love Rotorua ... the people are awesome, there's something for everyone and it's Rotorua - who doesn't love RotoVegas?

How about for a dream holiday internationally?
My husband and our four kids have planned a roadtrip around the states in 2019. We have an NBA game and an NFL game on the agenda, so we need to get our seasons right. I want to see the Grand Canyon, the Las Vegas Strip and take them to the theme parks. It'll take a lot of planning, but we're going to make it happen.

What's the dumbest thing you've ever done when travelling?
When I was 5, just before our plane left LA to fly back to Auckland, I vomited on the guy next to me - I mean all over him - so he had to travel with no shirt on.

Aisle seat or window seat?
Window seat, of course.

Complete this sentence: I can't travel without ... Nurofen and ice water.

What's the best travel tip you've ever been given?
Carry your backpack at the front ... and always check it's zipped up.

What was the most memorable meal you've had while travelling?
In Samoa, they do this awesome chilli-chicken dish at Sunrise takeaways - so simple, but hella yum!

What's the best thing you've brought back?
When I was in Japan for rugby I bought back this awesome baby pink and baby blue rugby uniform ... that a guys' team wore. Apparently their owner liked the colours, so that was their uniform.

Favourite airport to land at?
Definitely not Wellington. Honolulu was cool ... it reminds me of Magnum PI - something out of the 80s.

What trip is planned next?
London and Hong Kong at the end of this year.
