What was your greatest holiday?

When my best mate and his girlfriend flew me down to Christchurch, then we drove to Lake Benmore and met up with his family. We drank gin with his mum, played lawn cricket with the little brothers, went for a cruise on the boat with his stepdad and lay in the gorgeous sun. Most relaxing holiday I've had in a long time.

And the worst?

I got hypothermia trekking around Lake Waikaremoana once. That was pretty sucky.

Everyone always says how wonderful Wanaka is, I think I'd have to go check that out.

How about for a dream holiday internationally?

I'm saving up to go to an island. Any island, I'm not fussy. It's always been my dream to read a book on the beach of a tropical island, snorkel in clear blue water and drink fancy cocktails at a bar in the middle of a pool.

What's the dumbest thing you've ever done when travelling?

When I was in China, I was too shy to use the public toilets so I nearly gave myself a bladder infection.

When packing, roll your clothes, and always carry cash.

What was the most memorable meal you've had while travelling?

When I was in Shanghai we were invited to dine at a retired couple's home. We made dumplings together, and out of the woman's tiny kitchen she produced plate after delicious plate of traditional Chinese dishes. It was a beautiful experience and a wonderful meal.

What's the best thing you've brought back from a trip?

Favourite airport to land at?

Singapore Airport. It's amazing. I've never been to Singapore, just its airport.

What's the next trip you've got planned?

I'm in Rotorua over the summer doing a comedy show called The Choice. It's going to be epic. Everyone should come.
