What was your greatest holiday?
Croatia. I hired a house on the water outside Dubrovnik with my best friends. What a beautiful place.

And the worst?
I've not had one.

If we could teleport you to one place in New Zealand for a week-long holiday, where would it be?
It would be summer, and it would be to Kawau Island at a friend's bach.

If we bump into you on holiday, what are you most likely to be doing?
Trying to stay away from you! Or running around after my kids.

What's the dumbest thing you've ever done when travelling?
Not renewed my visa.

My wife. She packs for me, as I'm rubbish at it.

What's the best travel tip you've ever been given?
Get someone else to pay for it.

What was the most memorable meal you've had while travelling?
Morning Glory [water spinach] in Thailand.

What's the best thing you've brought back from a trip?
A fiance (I proposed to my now wife in Thailand).

Favourite airport at which to land?
Koh Samui in Thailand.

What's the next trip you've got planned?
Australia to see family.
