Rain for much of the North Island on Friday, with heavy falls and easterly gales affecting the north and east. Warnings and Watches are in place, including a severe thunderstorm watch for Northland and Auckland through this evening. Conditions then improving through the weekend. Warm temperatures expected for most this weekend as high pressure moves in.
