KAPONGA school recently held their annual Science Fair.

The science fair started in 2002 and staff from Ballance Agri-Nutrients in Kapuni have judged the entries every year since.
The older children, in years 5-8 create and enter their own individual projects, while the younger ones in years 3 and 4 work together to present group projects.Results from this year's event are:
Year 7-8: 1st Grace Pope, 2nd Cate Tulloch, 3rd Tessa SmithYear 5-6: 1st Ryan Joll, 2nd Kristy Smith, 3rd David MilichYear 3-4: 1st Ben Koch, Harry Koch, Luke Berquist, Jordan Wyllie; 2nd Maddi Butler, Kayla Benton, Ilana Kerr; 3rd Jack Osborne, Simeon Cook,Kaliel Robinson, Lachlan Rhodes.
Simeon Cook was awarded the trophy for Year 3-4.Merit Awards were presented to Jonathan Abplanalp, Chelsee Renata, Crystal Harris, Kate Phillips, EdieThomas, Aimee Abplanalp, Jacinta Fitzgerald, Kory Sharpe, Tianna Osborne and Reuben Tulloch.
