Top seed Monica Seles showed she is rounding into form for the French Open tennis tournament as she moved into the quarter-finals of the US$170,000 ($367,330) WTA tournament in Madrid yesterday.
Seles said she was encouraged by her 7-5, 6-2 win over Spain's Marta Marrero with Roland Garros set to begin next week.
"I'm in much better form."
She was given a brief test when she went 3-5 down in the first set, but won nine straight games to take the match.
