Soccer: Manchester City enter UEFA Cup

Manchester City will play in the qualifying round of next season's UEFA Cup after England finished top of the UEFA Fair Play rankings last season, European soccer's governing body said yesterday.

City finished ninth in the premier league and were fifth in their domestic Fair Play competition behind Manchester United, Newcastle United, Chelsea and Liverpool.

All these four clubs had already qualified for European competition next season.
