Skiing: Swiss skier killed during race

Swiss junior ski champion Werner Elmer was yesterday killed in a fall at Verbier during a combined downhill race organised by the International Ski Federation and the Swiss Academic ski club.

Elmer, 19, died when he collided with a slope maintenance worker, who was not badly injured.
