Rugby: SA union 'go over heads' of selectors

South African Rugby Union president Oregan Hoskins has admitted that he and leading administrators have created a dangerous precedent by including Luke Watson in the Springboks training squad over the heads of selectors.

Hoskins said yesterday "the correct principle" was not followed.

"We believe the coach and the two national selectors are wrong and that it is time these players were given the opportunity to be in the training squad."
