Jonah Lomu scored four tries for the Barbarians as they hammered Scotland 74-31 at Murrayfield this morning.
In a typically free-flowing match, the Barbarians played expansive rugby from the opening whistle.
Lomu scoring from inside his own 22 in the first minutes, setting the pace of the match.
The All Black winger wassoon over again, followed by Friedrich Lombard, leaving the Scots trailing 15-0.
Not to be outdone, the home team fought back, scoring three converted tries to take the lead 21-15 in only the 18th minute of the match.
However, the Barbarians responded in kind with three tries in six minutes - two to Lomu – before the Scots replied with a try to finish the half trailing 41-26.
The second half was more of the same with Lomu in devastaing form, before he was substituted with 20 minutes to play.
The Murrayfield crowd gave the big winger a standing ovation as he left the pitch.
Scotland scored one more try, but they were no match for the attack of the Barbarians who now take on the English this weekend.
