Rugby league's worst kept secret was confirmed yesterday when Australian test coach Chris Anderson was confirmed as the Sharks' coach for next year.
Sharks chairman Barry Pierce announced Anderson had signed a three-year deal with the Cronulla-based National Rugby League team, taking over from John Lang at the start of next season.
Anderson, who resigned as Melbourne Storm coach this month, takes up his position on November 1.
