Former All Black lock Ian Jones has admitted he is still undecided about his future with English club Gloucester.
Jones has been offered terms to stay with the Heineken Cup semi-finalists for another season when his existing two-year contract expires in May.
But it is understood that the 33-year-old could also be in line for a post with the New Zealand Rugby Football Union.
"Either I retire, or I stay at Gloucester for another year," said Jones, whose 79 caps remain an All Black record for a lock.
"It is one of the hardest decisions I will have to make in my career and, when I make it, I will need to be very clear in my mind.
"I will not be rushing my decision but, whatever I decide, I am sure that I will be happy with it," he said.
