Rugby: Denial that Caleb Ralph heading to Welsh club

The Canterbury Rugby Union has denied reports that Crusaders wing Caleb Ralph will head to Wales at the end of this year.

The Press said that Celtic Warriors coach Lynn Howells confirmed that Ralph had reached a two-year deal with the Welsh club if he does not make the All Blacks' end-of-year tour to Europe.

But a CRU statement yesterday said the claims were incorrect as Ralph had not spoken to the club.
