Rugby: Amazing reversal as Barbarians beat Wales

The Barbarians overturned a 25-0 deficit at halftime to beat Wales 40-25 in an extraordinary rugby match at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff.

The Barbarians lost 53-29 to England last weekend and appeared to be heading for another heavy defeat yesterday.

But the team of internationals turned the game on its head to score six unanswered tries in the second half.

Former Springboks goalkicker Braam van Straaten landed five conversions.

It was another embarrassing reverse for a test-strength Wales, whose only win in last season's Six Nations was against minnows Italy and who now face the daunting prospect of a two-test tour of South Africa.
