Emerald Dream and Our Mr Bowe galloped solidly during a partly fogged-out training session at Cambridge yesterday.

On a good No 2 grass, 15m out, Thorndon Mile candidate Emerald Dream looked in excellent order when running 1400m with stablemate Our Mr Bowe, the final 1200 in 1:15 and 600 in 37.8.

Cajun Belle went 1200m comfortably in 1:19.1, the 600 in 42. Knockem Down sprinted the last 600 of 800 in 39.

Romanee St Vivant strode 800m in 53.6. Bart and Royal Mint were timed from the 1000 in 1:5 and the 600 in 39.2.

Fair Smokin and Lucent cut out 1000m in 1:4.8, the 600 in 38. Preferred Lies ended his work with 1000 in 1:6, the 600 in 40.2.

Thorndon Mile runner Regency turned on speed on a fast plough at Takanini to cut out 1200m in 1:15.3, the 600 in 36.6. Stablemate Ma Gloire, who could also race at Trentham on Satrurday, was brilliant over 1000 in 59.7, the 600 in 36.2.

Mannafique returned a smart trial for Avondale next Monday, running 1000m in 1:0.8, the 600 in 37.1. College Queen went 1000 in 1:4, the 600 in 36.9.

Timelock looked close to his best when sprinting 1000 in 1:4.8, the 600 in 36.9. Sunline, still a little burly, ran 800 in 51.7, the 600 in 38.2.

Wellington Cup candidate Trafalgar Flyer was one of only a few horses timed because of fog at Matamata. He impressed over 1000m on a good plough in 1:8, the 600 in 37.5.

Super Drive strode 1000m in 1:4.9, the 600 in 39.2. Bella Triano cruised 1000 in 1:11, the 600 in 42.3.

Voltic Star and West Life kept on terms over 1200m in 1:17.1, the 600 in 39.6. In preparation for Wairoa on Sunday, Sea Grey went 1000 on the all-weather track in 1:4.3, the 600 in 36.3.

At Avondale, Planxty was not asked for his best but looked to have thrived when running 1000m under a firm hold on a deep plough in 1:11.6, the 600 in 40.9.

Madame Bettina looked good when dashing 800m in 52.8, the 600 in 37.7. Izalion ended two rounds of pacework with 600 in 40.5.

Sealed With A Kiss did well under a fair weight to run 1200m in 1:20.6, the 600 in 40.4.

Last-start winner Saint He Aint looked further improved when striding out over 800m on a good plough at Te Aroha in 54.7, the 600 in 40.2.

Holy Summer Storm was restrained throughout a lap (1780m) in 2:19, the 600 in 44.8. Glamour Cat dashed 600 in a smart 36.7.

Coventry ended his work with 600m in 39.1. Native Bird wasted no time over 600 in 36.4.

Byzance took time honours at Pukekohe with 1000m on a good fibre surface in 1:6, the 600 in 39.5.

On a firm No 1 grass, Straight Forward worked solidly from the 800m in 49.1.

Only Time and Wattle Downs did similar work in 51.8 and 52.2 respectively.
