Class galloper Hail and stablemate Dane Choice return to full training next week as they prepare for Sydney autumn campaigns.
Trainer Bruce Marsh said both horses had spent a week on a walker and were in "enormous condition".
Both horses, freshened since the Auckland carnival, are likely to head straight to Sydneyto kick off their campaigns with Hail to resume in the $250,000 Chipping Norton Stakes at Warwick Farm on March 15.
Marsh has mapped out a three-race weight-for-age campaign for Hail that also includes the $400,000 Ranvet Stakes on March 29 and the $2 million BMW Stakes on April 12.
Marsh believes Hail will be ideally suited to the weight-for-age events but he was concerned to learn that champion Australian galloper Northerly was also targeting the Sydney carnival.
It is unclear who will ride Hail in Sydney but Marsh is hoping Melbourne-based jockey Greg Childs will be available. Childs is unbeaten in two rides on the five-year-old - the Sandown Classic at Flemington last year and the Zabeel Classic at Ellerslie on January 2.
Down the track options include the S$3 million ($3.2 million) Singapore International Cup (2000m) in Singapore on May 17 while the Queensland winter carnival is another possibility.
But Marsh does not want to overtax Hail as the Melbourne Cup in November is high on his priority list.
Dane Choice, who has not raced since finishing fourth in the New Zealand Derby (2400m) at Ellerslie on Boxing Day, will be aimed at the $A2 million AJC Derby (2400m) at Randwick on April 19.
Marsh has not mapped out a lead-up programme but the most obvious targets are the $400,000 Canterbury Guineas (1900m) on March 22 and the $500,000 Rosehill Guineas (2000) on April 5.
