Rock Of Gibraltar, part-owned by Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson, was World Horse Of The Year, 2002.

He won a stunning seven consecutive group one races.

At two he won the Grand Criterium at Longchamp and the Dewhurst Stakes at Newmarket.

His only defeat in six starts as a 3-year-old was in his final career appearance when second in the Breeders Cup Mile.

His victories came in the St James Palace Stakes, Irish 2000 Guineas, English 2000 Guineas, Prix du Moulin and Sussex Stakes for stakearnings of £1.1 million ($3 million).

Rock Of Gibraltar is by the hugely successful Coolmore stallion Danehill from the Be My Guest mare Offshore Boom.
