On the outside of a soft No 2 grass, Arduous finished 1000m clear of stablemate Demolition Babe in 1:8.7, the 600 in 42.8.
Hidden Keel looked in excellent order when running 1200m in 1:23.3, the 600 in
43.4. Evergreen hit out well over 800 in 53.8.
Jaybe was allowed an easy 1200m in 1:40, the 600 in 45.5. Princess Daana ran the last 600 of 1000 in 42.1. Von Ryans did an easy 800 in 56.9.
Dinstinctly North and Pauillac matched strides over 600 in 40.9.
Hurricane Strike wound up for Avondale tomorrow with 1000m in 1:11, finishing on terms with stablemate Simply The Best from the 600 in 42.6.
Kandu and Bally Morn looked prospects for Avondale tomorrow when galloping 8m out on a heavy No 1 grass at Takanini.

At Pukekohe, Love The Blues galloped encouragingly over 800m on a soft No 1 grass in 53.5. Avondale contender Mannix did similar work in 53.7.
Furnia and Zier wound up for Avondale with 600m in 38 and 40.7 respectively. Rollon The Viking went 600 easily on the No 2 grass in 41.8.
Carloz Ben Ryan impressed on a soft No 2 grass at Te Aroha when ending each of two rounds with 600m sprints in 38.6 ande 36.6.
Normandale led Nanset after 1000m in 1:5.5, the 600 in 38.2. Shacaine and Not Sure galloped 1200 in 1:20.2, the 600 in 38.5.
Country Fair showed he had trained on well since his last-start win for David Peake when stretching out over 1400m on a soft No 3 grass at Te Rapa in 1:38.1, the 600 strongly in 38.2.
Just Different and The Alaskan, likely rivals on Saturday, kept together over 1000m in 1:2.6, the 600 in 38.3. Heiss ran 800 in 51.7, the 600 in 38.5.
