Cricket: David and Candice Warner show off new daughter Isla Rose

David and Candice Warner have welcomed their third child into the world after a mad dash from Lord's by the Australian opener.

After Australia's victory over New Zealand, Warner rushed to be by his wife's side for the birth of baby number three, joining big sisters Ivy and Indi.

Dual Instagram posts from the parents announced a baby girl, Isla Rose Warner, was born at 10.30pm on Sunday night.

It is understood Candice gave birth at the exclusive Lindo Wing in London where Kate Middleton, Princess Diana and Amal Clooney had their children.

"We welcomed our newest family member Isla Rose Warner at 10:30pm late last night. @candywarner1 was absolutely amazing. Mum and Bub doing very well and her big sisters are over the moon. #prouddad," David wrote.

Candice, Ivy and Indi have been with David as the 2019 Cricket World Cup plays out around England.

"Welcome to the world our gorgeous Isla Rose Warner. Born June 30th at 10:30pm. Our little family is now complete. Ivy and Indi are so proud of their sister. @davidwarner31 Your support was and is amazing. Isla we love you. #blessed," Candice wrote.

The arrival of Isla caps off an extraordinary plan from the Warners to ensure the birth didn't derail Australia's 2019 Cricket World Cup campaign.

Australia found themselves with a seven-day break and the couple's plan was for Candice to be induced during that time frame.

An exclusive report from The Australian stated they had planned to welcome their new baby into the world after Australia's second final game of the group stage against New Zealand at Lord's on June 29.

They had initially revealed their baby joy on New Year's Eve with Candice posting on her Instagram page the news.

It caps off a tumultuous past 16 months for the couple who went incredibly tough times following the ball tampering scandal in South Africa last year.

Shortly after Warner arrived home from the tour that saw him suspended for 12 months, Candice suffered a miscarriage — a miscarriage she said was the result of the stress and abuse she and the cricketer copped amid the scandal.

The public learned about the shocking development when the former Ironwoman opened up about it in an interview with Australian Woman's Weekly and after the Aussies' win over England at the World Cup this week, Warner revealed the pair "had two miscarriages" during his enforced lay-off.

But those dark days are now behind them after the safe arrival of baby daughter number three with Isla lighting up their growing family.
