Super Rugby is soaking up the positive spin offs from the 2011 Rugby World Cup, with ticket sales for this year's competition well up on last year.

The Blues and Chiefs are both reporting that season tickets and memberships up at least 20 per cent on their 2011 figures.

Chiefs CEO Gary Dawson believes the World Cup has helped draw out lost fans.

Dawson believes there were people that hadn't been to a rugby game in a long time that enjoyed the World Cup, and want tog get back involved.

The season gets underway in two and a half weeks time.
