However, with Red Bull now the only team yet to confirm its driver pairings for next year, Lawson’s future is up in the air.
The 23-year-old is understood to be battling with former teammate Yuki Tsunoda for the final place at Racing Bulls, after the pair swapped places for the season.
Red Bull have said a decision will be made after next month’s Qatar Grand Prix – already having moved it back from what should have been after the Mexican Grand Prix at the end of October.
Lawson’s current teammate, the Frenchman Isack Hadjar, is expected to be promoted to the senior team, while Red Bull junior Arvid Lindblad looms as the driver to step into Racing Bulls in his place.
Elsewhere on the Formula One grid, Lando Norris looks to have taken a huge step towards winning the title, leading world champion Max Verstappen and Oscar Piastri heading into the season’s final races.
Meanwhile, Ferrari continue to struggle - with both Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc failing to finish at Interlagos, and with no grand prix wins in 2025.
