Inglis has never won the Dally M Medal and is now the favourite to scoop the award after helping Souths to their best start to a season since 1971 - the year of their last premiership.
Although he admits his form is better than at any time during his spell at Melbourne, he said it's too early to start comparing this Souths team to the ones built by Craig Bellamy.
"I did play in some very good teams in Melbourne, and we have the same mentality and attitude here," he said.
"People will compare the sides all they want, but both have a different calibre of player.
"But we don't worry about Melbourne, we are South Sydney and we are going week by week."
