Annika Sorenstam became the first player for 34 years to win 10 LPGA events in one season when she won the Mizuno Classic in Japan.
The 32-year-old from Stockholm played with a heavy cold in Japan, but it did not take the gloss off her victory.
She enjoyed the satisfaction of equalling Kathy Whitworth's record of 1968.
"I'm in shock a little," Sorenstam said after winning what was her 41st LPGA title. "I set high goals for myself, but sometimes you wonder if you can achieve them."
