New Zealand golfer Grant Waite earned his United States PGA tour card after finishing in a tie for 28th place at the qualifying school in Orange County, California, today.
Waite fired a one-under-par 71 in his sixth and final round to be seven-under overall and finish just inside the 30th place cut off mark that gain tour cards.
Fellow New Zealanders Michael Long, who finished three-over in total, and Steven Alker, four-over, finished 89th and 96th respectively to miss out.
The tournament was won by Mathias Gronberg at 20-under.
