Cricket: Surrey clean up at Benson and Hedges Cup

Surrey were in record-breaking batting form as they powered into the final of England's Benson and Hedges Cup cricket competition yesterday. They piled up 361 for eight off 50 overs - the biggest total in a cup match between two first-class counties - as they crushed Nottinghamshire by 174 runs at the Oval.

Surrey's opponents at Lord's on July 14 will be holders Gloucestershire, who reached their third consecutive final in the competition when they overcame Yorkshire by 97 runs in the other semifinal at Headingley.
