A full day's play seems unlikely in the fourth one-dayer between the Black Caps and South Africa in Dunedin this afternoon.
The weather forecast for the south is shocking.
Thundery showers and gale-force winds are forecast , although the wintry weather is expected to clear later in the day.
Today's high is expected to be just 14 degrees.
The Carisbrook groundstaff might have their work cut out for them, although groundsman Coryn Huddy predicts the pitch will favour the batsman, provided the weather holds up.
Huddy says they have tried to make it as batter-friendly as possible, with the pitch getting a lot of rolling and having a fairly even grass covering.
If play is possible, the Black Caps are set to target star South African allrounder Jacques Kallis again.
Kallis has a top score of just 26 in his three innings against the Black Caps to date.
Fleming says they have dismissed Kallis cheaply to date but he is a sleeping giant who they have to keep in check.
Albie Morkel will make his second appearance for the Proteas, replacing the injured Shaun Pollock.
The South Africans are looking for a lift in intensity and form as they find themselves unexpectedly down 2-1 in the series.
Skipper Graeme Smith says that if they do make it onto the field, he wants a lot more heart in their performance.
Smith says he wants more from every player, batters and bowlers.
Lance Klusener is back to full fitness.
Play is scheduled to begin at 2pm.
