Cricket: Dravid top bat

Stand-in captain Rahul Dravid top-scored with 58 as India pulled off a tense three-wicket victory over the West Indies in the sixth one-day international at Jodhpur yesterday to level the seven-match series 3-3.

Needing to win to keep the series alive, India dismissed the West Indies for 201 in 46.3 overs on a sluggish pitch, but lost three wickets for one run at a crucial stage before reaching 202 for seven with 3.4 overs to spare.

Dravid, deputising for the injured Saurav Ganguly, hit his 42nd one-day 50 and shared in a 99-run partnership for the fourth wicket with left-hander Yuvraj Singh, who contributed 54.

The final match will be played in Vijayawada tomorrow.
