Baseball: Sosa back from suspension with a vengeance

Chicago Cubs baseball slugger Sammy Sosa today made a triumphant return from his seven-game suspension for using a corked bat.

Sosa belted a 464ft (142m) home run in the fifth inning at Cincinnati, the ball leaving a dent on the wall two storeys up in centre field.

It was Sosa's seventh homer of the season. The Cubs won 4-1.
