Terms and conditions
1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. Entry into this competition is deemed acceptance of the Terms and Conditions.
2. Entry is free and open to residents of New Zealand aged 18 years or older. Employees of the Promoters, the Promoters' associated companies, the Promoters' agencies and partners associated with this promotion and their immediate families and any entrant under the age of 18 are ineligible to enter.
3. The Promoters reserve the right to withdraw this promotion or any part of this promotion should their ability to fulfill due obligations be limited at any stage by any form of technical failure.
4. To enter the promotion, entrants must provide their full name, current and valid email address, phone number, date of birth, confirm availability to travel on required dates and hold a valid passport. ("Eligible Entrants").
5. Eligible Entrants are limited to one entry in the promotion. Any additional entries will be invalid.
6. All entrants must hold a valid passport and be available to travel from the 18th - 25th October 2012. If the 'winner' does not hold a passport they will forfeit the prize and a new winner will be drawn. If the 'winner' cannot travel over the said period of the prize they will forfeit the prize and a new winner will be drawn.
7. Entries must be received by the Promoters during the Promotional Period. The Promoters accept no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries.
8. Promotion commences at 09:00am on Wednesday 25 July, 2012 and will finish at 9:00am on Wednesday 8 August, 2012 ("Promotional Period").
9. The prize draw will be held on Wednesday 8 August, 2012.
10. The winners will be notified by telephone or email. Inability to contact the winner by close of business Thursday 9 August, 2012 will result in the prize being forfeited and a further draw will be conducted.
11. There is one (1) prize which includes:
• Two (2) return economy flights to Kuala Lumpur International Airport from Auckland International Airport only.
• Five (5) nights stay at The Berjaya Times Square Hotel Kuala Lumpur. Accommodation is based on a double or twin share room and includes breakfast only.
• Two (2) return economy flights to Langkawi from Kuala Lumpur International Airport only.
• Two (2) nights stay at The Berjaya Langkawi Hotel. Accommodation is based on a double or twin share room and includes breakfast only.
• All transfers from airports to hotels and from hotels to the Sepang International Circuit, Kuala Lumpur over the main two (2) day event (20th and 21st October).
• Two (2) admission tickets to the MotoGP event on the 20th and 21st October only.
• $1,000 NZD spending money to be used throughout the stay of the trip, or to be used towards domestic flights to Auckland from another New Zealand port ("Prize").
12. All other expenses associated to the prize and time within Malaysia is to be covered by the prize winner.
13. The prize must be taken from the 18th - 25th October 2012 and cannot be altered or exchanged for cash.
14. All entrants must hold a valid passport which has a minimum of 6 months validity after the time of arrival into Malaysia.
15. All entrants travelling on a passport that requires a valid visa to enter Malaysia must have the visa arranged and approved before departure to Malaysia on the 18th October 2012. Any costs associated to visa applications must be covered by the winner.
16. In entering this competition all entrants are confirming they can travel over the assigned travel period of the 18th - 25th October 2012.
17. If the winner lives outside of Auckland then travel arrangements to arrive into Auckland International Airport on the dedicated departure date must be arranged by the winner and at the winner's expense.
18. Travel is valid on Malaysia airlines operated services only. This excludes travel on Malaysia Airlines joint operations and code share services operated by our airline partners.
19. Airport tax, fuel/insurance surcharge, admin fee and any other relevant surcharges ie. Freight or excess baggage fees will be borne by the passenger(s).
20. Enrich Frequent Flyer miles are not applicable.
21. Baggage Allowance is 25kgs per person.
22. Prize and airfares are non-transferable and name changes are not permitted. Stopovers & alternative routes incur additional costs.
23. The winner is responsible for all costs associated with the prize that are not specifically included in the Prize including (where applicable) transfers, travel insurance, food, spending money and other incidentals. The winner is also responsible for all necessary travel documents, including valid passports, travel visas and insurance.
24. The Promoters' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
25. The prize is not exchangeable or transferable and cannot be taken for cash. No other family members, friends, office associates or any other person will be able to participate on the winner's behalf.
26. The winner takes the prize entirely at his/her own risk and indemnifies NZ Herald, Mondo Travel, Tourism Malaysia and Malaysia Airlines in respect of any claim for any accident, injury, property damage or loss of life that may occur in connection with the prize. The Winner is responsible for all insurance, tax or other costs that may be associated with the prize.
27. If due to unforeseen circumstances part or the entire prize is unable to be fulfilled by the promoter and the 3rd party partners, the winner will receive a variation of the prize to the same or higher value from Tourism Malaysia and Mondo Travel.
28. By ticking the optional box "I am happy for APN (publishers of nzherald.co.nz) and Mondo Travel to email me information and promotions that may be of interest", entrants acknowledge that they are agreeing to receive future emailed communications from the Promoters. Entrants' personal information will be stored on a database by the Promoters. A request to access, update or correct any information should be directed to the Promoters at the addresses set out below.
