Whangarei schools warned of 'predator'

Whangarei schools have been warned of a sexual predator prowling school grounds after school hours.

Detective Sergeant Rob Huys said three girls aged between 8 and 14 were approached by a man at the Kamo Primary School playground on Sunday at 4.10pm.

"The man confronted the trio and, after making general conversation with them, made improper suggestions to the girls while initiating an indecent act upon himself."
