West Auckland kaumatua Jack Wihongi died yesterday aged 75. Known affectionately as Uncle Jack, Mr Wihongi helped establish Hoani Waititi Marae in Waitakere and later became chairman of the Waipareira Trust. He was respected for his work promoting Maori language, arts and culture. A tangi will be held at Hoani
