Two teenagers armed with a baseball and firearm have been arrested after a dairy robbery in Christchurch yesterday evening.
The pair - both aged 16 - are alleged to have entered the Division St Dairy just before 5.30pm with a third offender.
Police said they were armed with a gun and a baseball bat and stole an amount of money and cigarettes.
Two of the group were later spotted driving a stolen car, police said. Officers tried to stop them, but when the driver failed to stop, a pursuit started.
The pursuit ended about 10.20pm on Avondale Rd and those in the car were arrested.
Both teens will appear in the Christchurch District Court tomorrow, charged with a number of offences, police said.
Authorities are still hunting for the third person involved in the robbery and are urging anyone who may have any information about their whereabouts to come forward.
